05 November – Take Home Exam Info Update

·       Hi all.  I shot out an email to everyone, but many got bounced back due to the cloud email server.  Here are the contents of the email.  Bottom Line, download an update file that has a couple of bugs worked out of the file. (Download)

I have updated the Take home exam file.  There are several minor errors or issues with lack of clarity.  All change items are highlighted in the burnt orange color.

Here are the essential changes.

1.      Run the regressions beginning with the SEPTEMBER 2015 MONTHLY RETURN (NOT 2014)

2.      Debt service margin computation information comes from the statement of cash flows

3.      Do not bother forecasting R&D or Goodwill

4.      You will not be able to compute the back door cost of equity on this exam.  I will teach you this next week

5.      The required share price and shares outstanding required to compute the equity weight on WACC is contained on the Cost of Capital Tab.

Have a good exam.  Make sure you email all or text all of your group members to make sure they got this message.  Tech’s cloud based email has kicked many students off the recipient list.

Take care,

Mark
